Collins English Dictionary
Globish describes the adapted form of English used in communication between non-native speakers. It is not a language in itself but a description of the particular conventions that L2 speakers adopt to help ensure mutual comprehension.
The term was invented by a French businessman, Jean-Paul Nerriere.
